Google has developed Sodar with augmented reality technology. Sodar’s task is to tell you if the social distance between you and other people is sufficient. Information about it appeared on the company’s Twitter account.
Using AR technologies, the smartphone display “creates” a virtual ring with a radius of two meters on real objects. Sodar will help users keep their distance when restrictions are lifted.
It is noteworthy that the new tool is not a mobile application. To run AR capabilities, just visit the project website. The service works only in the Chrome browser on the Android platform. But Sodar compatibility with all Android smartphones is not guaranteed.
